On a different project, european political leaders are showing their willingness to celebrate this date by sponsoring a young person with Down’s syndrome. 123 MEPs have answered positively to the proposition to meet (often virtually) one young person with Down’s syndrome and/or its parents from their country, becoming then a “Trsisomy 21 supporter”. Ms. von der Leyen, president of the European Commission, is participating and supports the initiative.
EUfortrisomy21 is a community of parents of children with Down syndrome,
united to advance the rights of people with Down syndrome in 4 priority areas:
visibility, non-discrimination, health, autonomy
