The Grand Shooting de la Trisomie 21 brought together 250 professional photographers, 300 models with Trisomy 21 throughout France for a collection of 1,200 photographs. The goal? Change society's view of disability by reaching out to the general public. 21 photographs were selected by the public and by a vote of the jury to be exhibited and highlighted during an exhibition. Tenderness, Creativity, Joie de vivre, Intense gaze are the criteria that guided the votes. But in addition, what a joy to witness the mobilisation of all these photographers, their talent around all these wonderful models: they invite us to let ourselves be touched by diversity, to admire their strength and their fragility, their beauty, their HUMANITY. The Great Photoshoot offered hundreds of families, for the first time in the world, a framework for expressing this unforeseen, unexpected joy that is Trisomy 21.
