VUELA: A Guide For Extraordinary Parents


VUELA is a book published in 2017 with the aim of being support and hope for parents who are expecting a baby with Down Syndrome. It is an illustrated guide written as a story that contains life histories, medical, psychological, social, and developmental information. Its main character, Antonia, transmits great messages and tips that support parents from the moment they receive the news and during their children's early childhood. It is an educational project that, in addition to helping families, seeks to change the wrong perception that people have about this genetic condition, promoting respect for diversity, inclusion and coexistence in harmony.


Coexisting in harmony being tolerant, respectful, and empathic with those around us. It’s when we dialogue, integrate and put aside differences to evolve.
