Mednarodni dan pravic invalidov

Na 3rd decembra 2021, na mednarodni dan pravic invalidov, je EU za trisomijo 21 praznovala pravice ljudi z Downovim sindromom. Ob tem pomembnem datumu so poslanci Evropskega parlamenta zastavili nekaj političnih vprašanj osebam z Downovim sindromom iz vse Evrope.

S to kampanjo krepimo ljudi s trisomijo 21, da povzdignejo glas in spregovorijo o svojih političnih mnenjih o različnih temah. Ljudje s trisomijo 21 so državljani s polnimi demokratičnimi pravicami in kot taki njihov vpogled ni le pomemben, ampak je ključnega pomena za celovit diskurz civilne družbe, ki bi jim ga moral Evropski parlament prisluhniti. Demokratične institucije še niso pripravljene prisluhniti ljudem s trisomijo 21, vendar bi morale začeti delati na prilagajanju, da bi lahko vsak evropski državljan sodeloval v evropski demokraciji.

Osebe z downovim sindromom so obravnavale različne teme:

Hvala Radki Maxovi, Brandu Benifeiju, Dragosu Pislaruju, Katrin Langensiepen in Rosi Estaras Ferragut, poslancem Evropskega parlamenta, ki so ob tem pomembnem mednarodnem dnevu pravic invalidov podprli našo kampanjo v prid prepoznavnosti ljudi z Downovim sindromom. .
