online event

On March 16th we will have an online event on Zoom all together.

It's called "Time for More Visibility".

People with Down Syndrome from all over Europe who work in restaurants and cafes will talk about their work.

They will talk about how important it is that people know they exist.

They will talk about how being seen more can help break down false ideas people have about them.

They will share their experiences and how their days look like.

On March 20th and 21st, coffee shops with workers who have Down Syndrome will celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.

They will invite important leaders in their town and country to come have coffee with them on that day.

This will give these leaders a chance to talk to people with Down Syndrome and understand their point of view.

This is especially important as many people with Down Syndrome will be able to vote for the first time in the EU elections in 2024.

EU for Trisomy 21 is working with coffee shops, schools, and politicians to come together on that day.

People all over Europe are already joining in the celebration and you can too.

In the map on the left you can see where we are hosting these events.

If you want to join, You can contact EU for Trisomy 21 via email.
